Shop Terms & Conditions
- We aim to dispatch orders received before 09:00am on Monday to Friday on the same day, with the exception of orders for the annual DVD which is available for dispatch at end-October each year.
- Please note that orders placed over the weekend, public holidays and bank holidays will be dispatched on the next working day.
- Where applicable, all prices are inclusive of VAT at the standard rate.
- All items are subject to availability at the time of ordering.

Shop opening hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm. On performance days the Tattoo Shop is open from 10.00am until the start of the performance (except on Saturday 24 August 2019 when the shop will close at 10.00pm BST).
Payment can be made by Visa, Visa Debit and MasterCard. Cheques (in Pounds Sterling only) should be made payable to The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Remittances from overseas should be made in the form of an International Money Order in pounds sterling drawn on a UK clearing bank.
Credit Card Security
When an order is placed online all credit card numbers are encrypted using 128-bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any website.
All prices include VAT at the standard rate (where applicable). Currently we do not offer VAT Exemption to overseas customers or specific geographical regions.
Postage, Packing and Delivery
All goods are sent in padded envelopes or specially made packaging. (Please see returns section for loss or damage). UK deliveries are packed and processed as soon as possible and sent Inland 2nd Class packet post. Out with our busiest times, orders are processed and dispatched within one business day of receipt of your order (subject to availability), except in the case of orders for our annual DVD which is available for dispatch at end-October each year.
European orders are sent airmail and can vary in delivery depending on their destination. Normal service to Europe is 7-9 days from date of postage. Mail to non-EC/Rest of world addresses is sent airmail packet post and in normal circumstances will reach you within 7-14 days. In all cases mail delivery times cannot be guaranteed. You can email us for a more accurate estimate of arrival times for your region/country. Please try to avoid giving PO Box numbers for mail, unless they are frequently serviced. Mail to South Africa will be charged an extra £4.50 per item as we must send this by recorded mail.
You may email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to specify recorded mail or swifter services. These can be arranged for you in most cases subject to the payment of an additional fee. In all circumstances payment is due before mail leaves the Tattoo Office.
Unless individually marked, the standard postage rates are:
United Kingdom £1.95 per item
Europe £3.50 per item
Rest of World £4.50 per item
Recent and possible future world events have made world postal services more susceptible to lost mail. In most cases mail finally arrives but much later than was anticipated. In these cases, we will supply replacement copies of items ordered. Please allow 28 days from date of posting before contacting this office.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
We operate and are registered as The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Limited in accordance with current data protection legislation. Our data protection registration number is Z4681827.
To provide you with the best possible service, we collect certain personal information about you. When you purchase merchandise online, we need to collect information about you to process the transaction and fulfil your order. This information may include, but is not limited to, details such as your name, your address and your credit/debit card details.
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo uses your personal information to keep you informed about events, news and offers which we think will be of interest to you. If you have chosen to receive them, we will also use your information to provide you e-mail newsletters and other email alerts letting you stay up-to-date about relevant events and offers. We may also use the information to process any transactions you undertake with us and for internal administration and analysis. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
In the event of goods being faulty we will replace or refund the items. In the event of goods being damaged we will replace items. Goods must be returned within 30 days. You must notify The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in writing (i.e. letter, fax or email) of all damage or faults to goods no later than 5 days after their receipt.

Cooling Off Period (UK and EU Customers Only)
You are entitled to a cooling off period of seven working days. This period is to allow you the opportunity you would have had in a conventional shop to examine the goods. Your cooling off period ends seven working days after the day of receipt of the goods. If you wish to return the goods to us within this period, please return with all original packaging and pay all postage costs.
