Our 2024 show Journeys takes place Monday to Saturday 2–24 August 2024.

We welcome children and we do not impose an age limit. Tickets for children are charged at full price, however, children of three years and under can be admitted free of charge and without a ticket providing they remain seated on an adult’s lap. Please be aware that the Show contains some loud noises throughout the performance, including special effects, which some young children may find upsetting.

All shows will feature fireworks and other pyrotechnics as part of the performance. Further details about the 2024 show Journeys, will be released in due course.

The show content is the same on each performance during the 2024 show, Journeys. Monday to Friday the performance begins at 9:30pm and on Saturday (and Friday 9 August) there is a show at 6:15pm and 9:30pm. The early performance tends to be more popular with families and gives a great view of the performer’s costumes and formations whereas, as the sky is darker in the evenings, the projections are bolder for the 9:30pm displays.

Expressing their unique cultures, our Journeys Show will host talents from the USA, India, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, and homegrown acts from around the UK. Please note, pre-order closes 1 hour before the performance start time on the day you are visiting.

When you arrive at the Tattoo venue, please make your way through the ticket gate and head towards the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade. Once inside the arena, you will see a number of Innis & Gunn bars located around the Esplanade and underneath the stands.

Your drinks can be collected from any of these bars. The closest bars to your seats are:

Sections 1 – 7: collect from bar underneath the North Stand
Sections 8 – 10: collect from the bar underneath the East Stand
Sections 11 – 17: collect from the bar underneath the South Stand

For the best experience, please choose the bar with the shortest queue.

On arrival at your chosen bar, you will be asked for your SMS confirmation, mobile number, and/or full name to collect your order.

You can collect your order from gates open until 10 minutes before the show starts, we advise all pre-order guests to arrive promptly to collect their orders.
